Allergic Rash Because Of Shampoo

My little brother and I are alone at home for a few days. And my little brothers has a rash from a shampoo he obviously is alleric to. In the country we live in it's late evening and he can't sleep because of his rash. He is crying and says it's itchy and painful. How can I help him? It's half past eleven at night, I can't go buy something anymore.

I know its late, but perhaps speak to your neighbour now, just to put your mind at rest and your brothers.

It was asked if you live on an forces base ie. RAF etc. If so, they should have a medical section that you may be able to contact for advice.

If he has used a shampoo with some exotic ingredient it could well be something of no matter but watch him and if he exhibits any of the symptoms shown on the link don't hesitate to phone or contact help immediately. Better to be safe than sorry.

See if anyone`s got some Piriton. That would be the best thing. Failing that, hydrocortisone for the easy to reach bits. Failing that, keep the areas cool.

Remember to keep the shampoo that was used so that you can work out what he was allergic to.

If he gets any worse and you have to take him to a doctor, take the shampoo with you, for the same reasons above.
