Never have I been advised to use vitamin B, although I don't think it will do any harm.
Lots of moisturising cream and barrier cream have been advised for me. Also showering with the water as cool as possible and not drying vigorously with a towel, rather wipe the water off, apply moisturiser and then barrier cream to keep the natural oils contained and throughout the day keep applying.
It's not much fun looking like a reptile shedding its skin day in day out.
No.

My masseuse commented on the state of my skin and recommended I take them. What does she know?
TY, both.
Find a good moisturising cream (not to greasy) and a good barrier cream.
Apply regularly, if not constantly.
I use many liters of both annually.
It does help
Why would you want dry flaky skin ?
Very good AOG.
Wet flaky skin is rather doughy :-)
I use a lot of body butter on my dry skin - unfortunately, I think I've inherited it from my mother :-(
My apologies to AOG. Make that O'geez
Must learn to read :-)
Me too Boxtops, my mum suffered dry skin all her life.
Try Diprobase cream.
I suffer from psoriasis and I use various creams to control the condition. However, last Nov we installed a new kitchen and at the same time a water softener. (we live in a very hard water area). Our water is now very soft and all lime scale has disappeared from taps, water tank in the loft and the shower. There has also been a very significant improvement in my psoriasis with some patches completely disappearing. I don't know whether or not this is purely a coincidence or the improvement has been bought about by installing the water softener.
