Bowel Scope Screening

OH has gone for a routine bowel scope screening tonight. The way he was going on you would have thought he was going to fight the Taliban, I was tempted to put the Vera Lynn records on. Anyone had this done, should I feign concern, get a hot water bottle ready? Or just laugh when he comes back and tell him next time he should come back as a woman and would know what probing was all about?

My dad was hospitalised after he had it done, he's been on various high and low doses of antibiotics for years (my mother died within weeks of being diagnosed with bowel cancer but I don't think she had ever been tested).

It was a bowel screening not a full colonoscopy, He now has to go back to the hospital for a full one as they found a large polyp which they couldn't or wouldn't take away there and then.He has to go on a diet for two days before its done at the hospital, he has a consultation with the specialist next week to discuss the next step.
