I am approx 12/13 weeks into this, it was abating, getting to the stage where there was just discolouration, and dryness.
However, the past two days it seems to have 'freshened up'.
I am now just as itchy and red as I was on the day I noted the Herald Spot, 1st September.
Should I go back to GP ?

Is it Pityriasis versicolor?
Question Author
Pityriasis Rosea.
I would return to the GP, not least for reassurance. Fingers crossed.
mine lasted for 6 weeks to the day. will never forget it either.
yes,,,,,,,,,,,,, that's what they are there for :)
By the time you get an appt, the rash will, have disappeared.
What would I do?.......hydrocortisone 1% applied three times a day.......this can be bought over the counter.

It became so unbearable that I went to GP this evening.
She thinks it is now excema, and has given me a couple of items.

(No idea how it changed)

Not to use anything scented, no soap, shower gel, deodorant or perfume.
Now covering from the neck down to the groin area, back and front, it's all I can do to keep my nails off it.
