I've had a constant tickly cough now for 2 days, I must be driving the neighbours mad, it's definitely sending me mad.
I must cough at least 4 or 5 times a minute.
I've tried medicine (that works for about 10 mins), gargling, drinking water. Nothing stops it. My ribs are really aching. Can anyone suggest anything?
Thanks in advance

I hope you get answers to this Filbert as I'm the same. Feels like I've cracked a rib with all the coughing and have tried the same as you as well as cough sweets but nothing works.x
The worst coughs ever Filbert... It will go, but in the meantime try this.

Don't wish to upset you Filbert, but I coughed for the whole of Feburary and part of March!! I had honey and lemon drinks to soothe my throat. All I can say is that there seems to be 'a lot of it about' and a friend of mine also coughed for a whole month. I'm OK now, but it was a long haul !
Just a thought-I was like this and overheard someone saying that the tree pollen is really bad this year and was making them wheezy with a tickly cough. I bought some antihistamine tablets and it just stopped almost instantly. Worth a try for you.
There's no leaves on the trees horselady, so where is the pollen coming from?
are you a smoker or asthmatic, Filbert?
I know Maizie, I was puzzled too, but it worked, cough gone so don't care how.
oh and i had colds in feb then were left with a really annoying cough just as chatazbru said x
Try the Pholcodine Filbert...

Hi all, off to the chemist in a mo. I'm not asthmatic and I do smoke the odd ciggie here and there. Don't get hay fever either. Think it's just one of them things. Humidity affects my voice though so it could be something to do with that.
