Tiny Scab On Breast

Noticed it the other day when doing my general "anti abscess" check, although it's on the other breast to the one I am most affected by with hidradenitis suppurativa (they really need am easier and shorter name for that!)

It's on the areola bit (not the nipple itself, the bit around that) so was wondering if it could be some kind of a blocked duct or something, if anyone has any ideas? The area around it is a little raised and red like a little spot with a little dark scab like thing on top.

Anyone got any ideas what it could be?

It is extremely unlikely to be anything to do with breast cancer.

Many things , mainly skin conditions e.g seborrhoeic dermatiitis.

Yes it could be a blocked duct.

Monitor the situation for the next 2 weeks.

If it's a blocked duct, will it just "unblock"/sort itself out?

I have tried looking it up but all the links seem to be about breastfeeding, which I'm certainly not.

That said though, similar to when I had the mastitis round the first breast abscess which came up.

Trying to find something for non-breastfeeding ladies.

While you are about, for an update, saw GP about another matter and mentioned it. She had a look and thought it might be an inverted hair and gave me some fucidin cream. It then turned out a bit minor abscess like and seems to have resolved itself, just hope it's not the start of them appearing round there too.

She also had a look at the rash on my foot and has given me some Daktarin cream to try with some steroid in. No change yet but it has been there for quite some time though.
