I have trouble sleeping. Apart from caffeine what else could I omit from my daily intake to help me sleep better?

You need to wear yourself out prior to sleep time. I recommend 3 hours of exhaustive phyisical sexual activity immediately beforehand. Followed by a mug of cocoa.

As always, we are advised to give up/ cut down on alcohol intake, but this may not be relevant to you.
Alternatively, I came across a 'trick' that actually works.
If you wake up in the middle of the night, breathe in for four seconds (say 'one Mississippi, two Mississippi, etc to count seconds), hold breathe for seven seconds, breathe out for eight seconds.
Try it and let me know how you get on.

Chocolate contains caffeine and many other things too, see here;

Thank you for your reply Jennykenny.
It's not waking up in the night I have trouble with, it's dropping off in the first place. I don't drink alcohol at all...only on rare occasions and not to excess. I do spend too long on computer and I know that doesn't help.
I'm quite a stressful person though and find it hard to switch off.

A few foods to leave out here, cupes.

It could be the kind of light emitted by your PC screen.
I don't know if this works as I've not tried it myself,but it was recommended as a solution that allows the light from your PC/laptop to adjust according to the time of day...
