I've had acupuncture for arthritis, menopause symptoms, migraine over the years and not once has it ever done me any good. It just emptied my bank balance. It cost a lot of money and no benefits from it at all for me. Good luck with yours JJ.

well I am getting them on NHS - am allowed two more sessions. The wee physiotherapist is nice enough but like everything not interested whether you feel better or not.

My friend has acupuncture to help stop smoking after trying all other methods. She had 4 sessions and it was only after the 3rd session that she cut down on the smoking. After the 4th session she has not smoked since that was 12 years ago.

thanks chico - had a wee look there - pros and cons isn't there.

I know most of my probs would be stress - I truly believe stress is a big factor in lots of illnesses in people. Anxiety and stress never goes away so sickness never goes away or pain anyway. Just an opinion of mine.

Wish I had have been born and reared a big easy going lump.
I had some for muscle pain/inflammation around my shoulderblades. It was great although it was of limited effect time wise. A bit of relief was better than nothing though. I also found it very relaxing, was told by someone they could tell when I'd been as I looked so much more relaxed and less in pain.

Well Eve there you go - pros and cons - at the moment I am like a strung bean - whatever that is LOL
It's abracadabra medicine.
Having a nice lie down for half an hour or so can't be a bad thing though :)
Question Author
well I only got maybe 20 minutes but in that time therapist interrupted me to tell me she was stimulating the needles twice so hardly relaxing since like most people don't like needles - the thought of them but you go through it thinking you are going to get better.
