What Do I Do About A Spreading Rash?
8 Answers
Two weeks ago something must have bitten me on the back of my leg at ankle height. I did not feel a thing until I realised that it was itchy. I avoided scratching it but it kept spreading sideways and upwards and it is now two weeks since it happened. I have twice been to the GP where both times nurse practitioners insisted that it was not anything to worry about but now I am as it keeps expanding and is darker in colour in the centre area. I think I ought to photograph it. There is nothing like it on any sites I have googled. I am concerned that it may turn out to be something that should be knocked on the head before it completely circles my leg. It is now three inches high and covers an area of about 15 square inches.

I personally know of someone who had an bite from an unknown source whilst at home earlier this year.
Having just typed out the short story, I have since deleted it .. without going into gory details, semticemia developed from the tiny wound.
It does not have a pleasant ending ... have it seen to asap !
