Why Do Some People Walk So Slow?
25 Answers
I am talking about fit healthy people, when they are out and about they shuffle along really slow. I notice it more when I'm in town shopping. I always walk briskly whenever I'm out walking, wherever I'm going but I'm forever being held up by slow coaches and a lot of them are young people. Could this be one of the reasons more people are overweight, not moving enough and quickly enough?

I think this is why I hate shopping. I set out on a mission and these slow, indecisive people are shuffling around in front of me, I want to poke them with a stick to speed them up.
I also hate people that stand and chat in the middle of the pavement, leaving passers by to walk on the road to get around them.

I get wound up by the 'older' generation (I'm 62 so anyone older than me really!) that clings to their trolley in the supermarket when they are browsing the shelves, blocking everyone else from getting to the shelf. Also the way that they meet someone in the middle of an isle and never think to stand to one side and have a natter but block the isle for everyone else trying to do their shopping. The french are very good at having family/friend get togethers in the middle of a supermarket and thereby blocking everyone everyone else from getting through for a good few minutes whilst they all 'kiss' each other- I know this because I lived there for 5 years!
