patient had a brain scan on 3rd Jan, + there have been many cock-ups with results, as she wasn't assigned a Neurologist at the time. She did manage to get the GP to read out what was on report sent to him. "small patch of subtle signal change and several small lesions) The patient Googled these terms, and straight away was taken to Multiple Sclerosis, which is what she had suspected, walking as if drunk, frequent falls for no obvious reason, bladder and sleep problems.
Patient received appointment with Neurology finally, for early April, but GP is going to try and expedite this.
Thoughts please?

I was worried I would have to be seen at Salford Royal, a drive I just could not have made myself, but luckily the appt is at my local hozzy! The only worry I've got now is that GP will ask for expedition, + I'll be given one at Salford, cos I've heard there's no waiting list there :(
Are you fully recovered now PP?

O bloody hell I would not have slagged off Salford if I had known - perhaps I am a mind reader - but it doesnt make me feel bedda
the techie only service is crap isnt it ? - the neuro service is very good however.
I think you probably need a list of questions
I would limit HD to - " is it possible to have huntingtons without having a relative with it ? " I think the answer is NO but you need to read about the genetics - it isnt a mutation but a propensity to lengthen nucleotide repeats. [ sounz like crap until you do your reading and then it would make sense ]
Your other fave diagnosis is MS - which I think he will cover
and er good luck....
