Well I had to look that up, and it appears I had one. I had womb, ovaries, fallopian tubes and cervix removed. Fortunately I did not have cancer but the type of tumour I had increased my chances too much for any risk.

I had op on a Friday and was discharged on Sunday pm. Held up by my blood pressure and reaction to Tramadol.

No problem with actual op, by the Friday I was in kitchen getting dinner (help with lifting the pans) and on the Monday I was in the supermarket, (again with help for the top/bottom shelves).

Sorry to hear that you have the C word, but do not worry about the op, concentrate on any further treatment and keep yourself well.

Not had that procedure, nor a hysterectomy and so can't help with practical advice.

I haven't had the procedure, but know some who have for Cancer and for other reasons.

Recovery rates vary of course but all did well.

Wow, you recovered quickly...I have no intention of leaving the sofa for at least a week;) Actually, my main worry is needing any chemo or radiotherapy
afterwards :(

Good luck on Thursday, take all the advice and help you can get and do not overdo it. I did get stuck half way up the stairs with a bucket of water at about 4 weeks in, but yes I was luck that I healed quickly.

hey baths hat sounds pretty nasty. hope you recover quickly. just think positive a bright pink curly wig as worn on hen nights should be a perfect disguise from anyone you don't want to see you.

Thanks Lady-J, but don't be getting me hairless yet! I'm hoping the slice + dice will be all that's needed. I agree with you though about wigs, I would have lots of different styles + colours, and not be like a girl I used to work with who thought nobody knew, bless her,...we all called her Wiggy Sue ;)
