Why is it always assumed, that only ladies get Breast Cancer, my Husband had this, and passed away in Jan 2014, the death certificate states Breast Cancer as the cause of death. So please remember the men as well. thanks
Absolutely.....I mind (and won't be involved in) the giggly breast cancer awareness things that go around social media that start "don't tell the men"
Years ago when I went for a mammogram I said "Well this is one thing men don't have to go through" and the (very nice)lady said that she hates it when she get a male patient as they only get a mammogram when the diagnosis is already known. :(
Because it is very uncommon in men.
Let me put it in perspective.
A GP with 3,500 patients on his list may see two cases of breast cancer in men, in 40 years of medical practice.
Does that help?
There were 3 chaps with breast cancer when I was having my radiotherapy for mine - 2 from Dublin and 1 from down the country, I tried to work out myself was that population in capital to the rest of the country, I wasn't surprised when i went up though and met them as while getting my chemo there were booklets about men checking for breast cancer
Their are lot of women's in this world suffering from this disease Breast cancer. They need your support of donations and BCRA uk breast cancer research aid uk take action against this disease and collecting funds from all over the world to support cancer research organisations Uk London.
