Disturbed Vision

I keep getting what I can only call heat haze on the right side of my right eye, usually after little jabbing pains in the right side of my head, the pains last seconds but the disturbance can last up to twenty minuets, what could be doing this?

no swirly lights, just this shimmering haze sometimes its more like what I think is called pixilation that you see when the telly signal is disturbed.

This sounds very much like migrainous neuralgia (better known as Cluster headaches) and is different from migraine in characteristics and response to treatment.
This is not indicative of a serious underlying medical condition, but is indeed debilitating for the sufferer.
