1St Flu Jab Ever.....bleugh
27 Answers
Had my first one ever on Thursday morn at insistence of my doctor as my asthma hasn’t been great lately and he said I was very susceptible. Said I was unlikely to have any side effects but take paracetamol just incase. Fri am and splitting headache, shivering one sec, soaking wet and hot the next, hurt all over from eyes to skin. First time I’ve left bed since yesterday and feel I’ve been hit by a truck.
Sheer coincidence or is it to do with the jab?

Now I get a letter from the surgery each year urging me to get the jab - I've always declined. I've never in my entire 68 year old life had flu.
Little bit better this morning thank god. Really don’t know if it was the jab or not. Having never had it I can’t compare. Either way think I should be having it every year anyway - have been a bit silly in not having it tbh- I mean if you go down with serious fully blown flu you’re literally unable to move, it completely wipes you out and pretty nasty, and nobody wants that.
your flu jab can vary in terms of reaction from year to year as the learned quacks try and predict which flu virus will be the one to fly....the question that I have is if whether the ones that they are doling out now actually cover the Aussie flu....if they do, then that's brill...if they don't it will be as welcome as a fart in a space suit.
