Bleeding Gums
6 Answers
I have bleeding gums it started when I ate a pork chop last week a piece of pork got stuck in my gums and I had to poke really hard to remove it and now after I clean my teeth my gums are sore and bleeding especially sore all day I've been drinking lots of water and I started using mouthwash to help obviously going to the dentist isn't an option because of the coronavirus is there anything I can do to stop the bleeding gums apart from cleaning my teeth any foods or creams or something ?. I would really appreciate some advice does this also cause a sore throat.

They are always recommended by my dentist after tooth extractions, as they have healing and antibacterial properties. I do one at least once a day to keep my gums healthy and if I have any problems with bleeding, soreness etc I up it to 3 times and usually find it does the trick.
There is a chance that there might be a bit of food still stuck in between your teeth, depending on what you used to try and get the food out ..... did you use a tooth pick or something similar?? If so, you need something specially designed for the job. Get yourself down to Boots (I'm sure they're still open) and get a pack of interdental brushes. Get a pack of mixed sizes and use the biggest size that will fit in between your teeth - you might just find a bit of food lodged firmly in between the the teeth.
Good luck :)
