Morning, Emmie. The woman in the opposite bed woke everyone by letting rip and I've just had my obs done. No finer way to start the day.

Hi Emmie. I'm now off IV antibiotics (Tazocin) and on Amoxycilllin / Clarithromycin. They said they would repeat my bloods today and that they'd like my CRP which was in the 300s to have halved to indicate response to treatment and then they can consider discharge.

oh dear, i wonder how she managed to wake everyone up, though i know from experience its not easy sleeping in a hospital bed.

Still coughing a fair bit but that's likely to go on for weeks unfortunately.

ok, sadly my sleeping pattern has gone, i have no idea why, so now i am awake early and often.
Do you think they will discharge you today, tomorrow maybe?

They're more likely to discharge me on a Friday - there are more people around.

getting on with the washing and chores whilst looking out at a nice blue sky...its cold still even for me. I don't do cold ordinarily in spring, but some reason the temperatures not moving.

Have you spoken to GP about your awful sleeping pattern?

so you could be in another week as its friday today?

yes i have, i think its the meds, i had a nice patch where i was sleeping through the night, since taking a new med its gone out the window.
still i can nap in the day if need be, so i try not to fret over it any more.

No, but I'd probably have to wait until Monday. There are far fewer people around on weekends so discharges go down.

i am sure you are missing everyone, how is the wee man now, has he got over his lurgy...

He was quite poorly for a couple of days but he's okay now, thanks.

I've missed them both.

met up with a mate monday, went for a pint at the local pub, which was nice, haven't been doing so much the rest of the week, the weather has been horrible, wet, gale force winds - not condusive to sitting out in the local garden as i did couple of weeks ago. even got something of a suntan, crikey where did spring go....
