id quite like to get mine done..try it out. my only question is: when the piercing is taken out, is the hole big, red and noticable? and how long does it take to heal up?

could leave a lumpy bit of scarring so be aware. But to be honest, if its something you want to try out but know you dont want if foreve, why have it done at all?? Just get a ring and hook it over your lip!!

Yes unfortunatly with most piercing scarring is non-avoidable. Although they are not usually overly noticable. I have/had my eyebrow pierced for a few years, and had to take it out, the holes are still there for this piercing and I can get my bar back in with a push after 3 years of not wearing it. All my piercings are keepers and not intentionally for fashion. I have had most of mine for well over 8 years and I still have all but that one in. It does seem pointless making a hole in your body if your not intending on keeping it. =D

Ive had my lip pierced a few years ago. After a few months I had to take it out while at the dentist and couldn't put it back in later on as my mouth swelled, and after this short period of time, when my mouth went back to normal it closed the hole. I still have a little tiny red mark where it was and can only see it if I put my tongue in front of my front bottom teeth and make my chin stick out! I had trouble talking after it was first done, and my boss wasn't keen on my new appearance so I would advise you to check with them as it might not be allowed? I've not considered having it done again but I wish you luck in deciding x x

I got a lip piercing about 8 years ago - I only had it in 3 months or so (I would unknowingly play with it after having a few drinks and I got paranoid thinking I would end up taking it out - plus, no one would hire me when I applied for a summer job!)

And I still have a mark in the place it was done. It looks like a pock mark - the same you would get with an old pimple. I don't think it took very long to heal after taking it out.

Its a cute piercing but takes some getting used to because it is near your mouth - get a tattoo instead!

Hmmmm Im not sure a tattoo is the way forward if the piercing isnt intending on staying too long.
