Does anyone know if there's a cream to prevent scaring. My 13 year old has Acne and it's begining to leave scars. He has just started a course of antibiotics from the doctor but is there anything out there that can reverse the damage that has been done.

hello guichard

I too have suffered scaring over the last year from a rash I had, it left me with little purple spots all over my body.
I met a lady on holiday recommended Bio Oil she'd been using it for a few months also for acne and her skin was clear (she showed me a before photo) so I tried it and boy is it wonderful stuff, my scaring is now fading.
I've been using it for three months, it's expensive stuff but worth every penny, because a little goes a long way.
You can buy it in Superdrug, Boots or you might get it cheaper on ebay (taking in to account to postage of course).

good luck and I hope it works for your son

Thankyou Stebby,
There's nothing better than some tried and tested advice. I will get some today. I hope your scaring continues to improve.
I agree, Bio Oil is excellent, I had an operation and had trouble with some of the scars, it is brilliant stuff.
Hi guichard
Bio Oil definately will help with the scarring. The only thing I am not sure is whether it should be used while your son is suffering acne - the oil might make the problem worse at the moment. Just a thought as dont want to cause him any more upset, but perhaps might be better waiting until things calm down a bit. Will definately do the trick then, friend used on 'old acne' scarring and another friend for stretch marks, amazing results. Good luck

Thanks Joannie 10.
I thought the same thing myself because of it being oil so will wait and see if the antibiotics help and then try it.
I don´t know what´s worse acne or its ugly scars. A double whammy and painful experience.

Good luck! The good news is this will pass because nothing lasts forever.
