feels like my skin is on fire

hi, over the past week, i've developed a rash under my armpits and on my neck. sometimes it's not too bad and sometimes (like today) my armpits feel like they are literally on fire. it's very painful. i put sudocrem on it last night but it didn't help at all.any ideas?? thanks

I'd pop and see a doctor to try and work out what's causing it. Could it be an allergic reaction to anything you've been using?

Something like calamine lotion may help cool it down a bit, leave it in the fridge so it's nice and cold or check with a pharmacist for what they recommend.
Have you changed your deoderant or soap? A friend of mine had the same and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to one of the above.
Agree with CheekyChops, my mum chaged her deoderant and because of the glands you have under your arms she was in agony and put on a course of tablets in the end.
(she wasn't in agony because of the glands but because of the allergic reaction.....duh!)
