Best Drink After Exercising

What is it best to drink during & after vigorous exercise, I drink lots of water but find I feel 'washed out' & want something to mix with water that will replenish minerals/salts etc, nothing sugary or too sweet (or too expensive!)

Milk contains good levels of protein and calcium essential for repairing muscle damage. The animal fat in milk doesn't miraculously turn into human fat and stick to ones love handles. If the calories are an issue drink a bit less. Fruit juice may be more refreshing though and isn't the worst thing in the world.
