got to chemist-they'll sell you a one off pill that should get rid of it. If you've got no symptons you may not need cream. Ask them for the cheapest version-none are cheap, but they probably all do the same thing!
I would agree and say go for the oral tablet as it is definitely the most effective way of getting rid of it. There is a supplement called acidophilus which is a good preventative measure if you find you start getting repeated attacks. Thrush is a fungal yeast infection called Candida Albicans which can live in our guts. It flares up in our guts, mouths and vaginas for a variety of reasons such a stress, a diet high in yeast and oral antibiotics which can deplete the good 'flora' in our guts.
ask your doctor for a prescription for the pill to get rid of it. over the counter it costs 12 (yes, 12!!!!). on prescription it's almost half that. very effective though.
Just to add - if you have a man in your life you should get him to treat himself too. Men can harbour thrush without symptoms and he will just pass it back to you if he's left untreated (the cream will do the trick).
Also remember that this tablet can make the combined pill less effective, so be careful.
