im 31 and have a bunion on my big toe and it really hurts all the time what is the precedure to have it removed and how long would i be off work for

My friend is thinking of having this op. She says that they would have to shave the bunion off and she would be off work for about 6 weeks. 6 weeks off work sounds very nice but I reckon the op would be pretty painful.

Im 15, and having it done too !!

you're put to sleep .... and they break your toes. Then they either put a cast, or bandages on (depends how bad they are [my left foot will be bandaged, my right foot in a cast])
But my doctor said i would be with crutches for about a month. And a few weeks after without the cast on.
