hiya
does anyone know if it is dangerous for a diabetic person to ride a rollercoaster?
my hubby and i went to alton towers and after a few rides he felt lightheaded, as if his blood sugar had gone really low...
i am wondering if this is the case or if he was being a big wuss!!!!............

Lots of people are affected like that after going on these rides.

He should as his GP if he is concerned though.
If anything, the adrenaline released would cause blood sugar levels to rise.
Diabetics can ride rollercoasters with no problems. However, like a rollercoaster, blood sugar levels can rise and fall dramatically. It's advisable to keep an eye on them, but most diabetics usually suffer no ill-affects.
