Thanks for that quick reply JL. I will get one then !!
Thanks for this post flump, I was wondering whether to get one too!
I hired one to use ith my first baby as pain relief. May have been great but I had her 2 weeks early nd it didnt arrive in time!!!!
I am using one now that was given to me by the hospital,It ahs reduced my pain but only by about 30%. My pain is difficult to control though as it is in the nerves in my chest wall. My mum uses TENS for her arthritis and swears by it.

skyep, you are welcome ! I often read a thread and glean answers given too .

sally.....ohhhh I do so hope there was an alternative?

daffy, thanks for the info, any pain relief is good, I hope to get the same result as your mum. !
yes yes yes. fantastic
I have been using tens on and off for several years. I usually use it when I am watching t.v. and set to the pulse in and out mode. it is very soothing, and the big plus is that the effect lasts for several hours after. also when you are in extreme pain, you can turn it up to as high as you can stand, and it soon overpowers your pain. there is a chinese herbalist/acupuncturist in eastbourne who connects crocodile clips to the leads from the tens and then to the needles and sticks them in you. (the best of both worlds, or chinese torture.) anyway, I wouldn't be without mine,a worthwhile investment.

Hi flump, after reading your post I went on Lloyds website for our nearest branch, phoned them and they were all sold out! Anyway, they are getting some more in on Tuesday, I have an order for 3 of them! There is a warning on the web page, that anyone with an irregular hearbeat or pacemaker cannot use them, so I suppose anything to do with a dodgy ticker.

Hi beejaybee, I have mine now so Iwill let you know !

Thundercrack, thanks for that, I now am the proud owner of one too !

skyep, take care with yours when you get it !! They are pretty mean machines. Hubby and I were trying out our new one when he put the blessed thing on me and I thought he had hooked me up to the car battery !! Potent little thing, beware !! Have re-read the instruction book since. !!!
flump, can't get hold of mine till at least Tuesday. Please come back on here and tell us what you think xx
