Does anyone recommend Tens Machines ?

Lloyd's chemists have these machines for pain control on offer at the moment. Do they work on medium joint pain possibly arthritis? Any advice welcome.

I usually use it when I am watching t.v. and set to the pulse in and out mode. it is very soothing, and the big plus is that the effect lasts for several hours after. also when you are in extreme pain, you can turn it up to as high as you can stand, and it soon overpowers your pain. there is a chinese herbalist/acupuncturist in eastbourne who connects crocodile clips to the leads from the tens and then to the needles and sticks them in you. (the best of both worlds, or chinese torture.) anyway, I wouldn't be without mine,a worthwhile investment.

Hi flump, after reading your post I went on Lloyds website for our nearest branch, phoned them and they were all sold out! Anyway, they are getting some more in on Tuesday, I have an order for 3 of them! There is a warning on the web page, that anyone with an irregular hearbeat or pacemaker cannot use them, so I suppose anything to do with a dodgy ticker.
Hi beejaybee, I have mine now so Iwill let you know !
Thundercrack, thanks for that, I now am the proud owner of one too !
skyep, take care with yours when you get it !! They are pretty mean machines. Hubby and I were trying out our new one when he put the blessed thing on me and I thought he had hooked me up to the car battery !! Potent little thing, beware !! Have re-read the instruction book since. !!!
