If you donate blood platelets does this reduce your risk of heart attack or stroke?

In the short term yes, it does reduce your risk of blood clots and stroke, but the platelets are back to normail in volume within 3-4days and then of course you are back to your pre-platelet donation state.

and then of course if you do it regularly and stop your body will keep up the habit of making extra, and increase the danger?
