pulled muscle
2 Answers
A week ago,I fell off a chair and hurt a muscle (nothing broke according to the hospital).in my bottom and am unable to walk due to the awful pain I have.A day or two after, I then got pain down the back of my leg into my ankle. It feels like severe sciatica.
I have very strong painkillers which do work but the moment I move or stand the pain is back. The real stabbing is in my bottom where I fell on.
I have been told it takes about ten days for any improvement shows and must just get plenty of rest.
Has anyone out there experienced any injury of this kind ?
Thanks

The sciatic nerve is the largest in the body and can effect a whole variety of movement. If it were muscle sprain in that area (gluteus minimus or maximus), you should expect some form of releif by now, unless of course you has actually torn a muscle.

Ouch! Sounds painful kloofnek. I'm very familiar with low back pain, after a riding accident when I was a child, but only get it in the coccyx area. A trapped nerve can cause pain to travel down your legs, but if you're still getting as much pain after another week or so, I think you should see your doctor again.
