What is the calorific value of fat stored in the body? If its like lard, itsabout 9 kcals/gm, or is it some lesser figure? When the stored body fat is converted back into useful energy for heating, other bodily requirements or external work, what percentage of the stored energy is recovered, allowing for losses due to inefficiency?
