I was sent for physiotherapy and eventually needed steroid injections. I still get a bit of trouble from it and it is worse in the mornings. Do some stretching exercises before getting out of your bed this definately helps.
Hi 2007 fusion - could be coming from your neck/spine - I know that sounds strange but I have a chronic back complaint ( run a blog on it) and I have terrible heel pain in one foot only and they have told me its coming from my spine/ neck and when I have epidurals in my neck the pain goes !!!!! Hope that helps. Good luck.
Hi 2007fusion, it is probably arthritis. I have personal experience of this condition, you need not be elderly, even a cousin of mine who is 26 has it. (rheumotoid arthritis) Its best to consult a physician, if the pain is very severe they will probably prescribe steroids for a period of time, it is not a condition that can be predicted, sometimes it can just go into remission.
The condition can also be controlled through diet (eating less red meats and more vegetable) doing exercise like swimming and walking, and taking Omega 3 Cod Liver oil capsules (1 a day). also taking Manuka honey is supposed to help.
