I am on Prednisolone tablets, Diclofenac & Co-Codamol 2 of which make you retain water. I have joined S World hoping to lose some of my weight gain, any ideas of what else I can do to lose the water

blimey I didn't know Dicloflenac made you retain water. I am guessing you have joint ache or bad back if your taking that and co-codomol.? I did slimming world and I ate dueretic foods like celery, lettuce etc. Other than drinking lots of water I don't really know. I saw my doc the other day as I haven't seen my ankles for about 18 years as I retain water and all she said was to drink plenty of water and put my feet up. Not very helpful when I have a 4 month old baby an am trying to walk to keep fit. Viscious circle really.

Thanks anyway spanner, I only found out about the Diclofenac a couple of weeks ago and ive been taking them for ages. Ill give drinking more water a go but you can only drink so much in a day :)
I didn't know that about Diclofenac either until just reading your message,it does explain why I have put on a stone in weight in the year i've been taking them despite having the same diet as before.I used to take a herbal tablet to help with water retention(Water Balance),I may start taking it again,or stop taking Diclofenac.
