Also, my main concern is the pain i get in my head when i blow my nose, its almost unbearable pressurised pain in the front section of my head, any ideas?
Thanks in advance

It is possible it is being caused by a form of hayfever, there are lots of different pollens from trees, grasses, flowers, so you may be having an allergic reaction to one. Or it could be a virus, like what's often called a head cold.
I'd go ask the doctor or pharmacist

I agree with DEN & Piggleton, a test for Glandular Fever would be a really good idea at this stage. Especially if you're under 25.
If it turns out to be a simple virus, then you can get plenty of remedies from the chemist. (Sudafed for your sinuses, ibuprofen for your inflamed throat are the two I'd recommend).
Hope you feel better soon.
And remember to REST and DRINK PLENTY of clear fluids!

You have got bad sinuses. I suffer myself from these symptoms. I have been to the doctors and had all sorts of steroids and sprays, but the best thing you can do is buy a Neti Pot. These are available on ebay. Basically you add water to the salts provided and pour them up your nose (sounds worse than it is. Actually tickles). This in turn washes out your sinuses. It makes me feel like I've been given a new head. Having said this, you should maybe get an Antibiotic Cream from your doctor beforehand to clear any infection.
