Gallstone Attack Pain Relief
3 Answers
I've mentioned on here previously that I've been diagnosed with gallstones and am now on the waiting list for the op. The problem is - the attacks are becoming more frequent, and can be sparked off by pretty much EVERYTHING I eat. Yesterday I ate two slices of toast (no butter) with marmalade (fat free) - and got an attack! The night before I ate a jacket potato with a small tin of tuna (in Brine, and having checked the fat content which was 0.3g saturated fat) - again, another attack lasting from 9pm until 3am. It seems to be getting worse, as i used to basically survive on toast and jam/marmalade and now am unable to even manage that!
Essentially, I'm unable to eat anything now. I'm feeling exhausted and starving. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on what I can eat? or anything that will relieve the pain of an attack? (only thing that helps so far is a hot bath/hot water bottles, but that's only temporary relief).
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated !
