Exanatide

My doc is taking me off insulin ( I am type 2 and not dependant) and putting me on Exanatide. It seems to stop the weight gain you get with insulin. Anyone here on it?

I am a type 2 diabetic, but was only on tablets. Was recommended to stop taking glicklazide and do exanatide. started on 5mg for two weeks, and all went well., then on to 10mg twice daily. HAVE NOW LOST NEARLY TWO AND A HALF STONE AND TWO DRESS SIZES. hope all goes well for you.

Thanks for your reply. I am also on 10 dosage and in 5 weeks have lost 13 lbs, however, I have had a fair bit of sickness. Did you have that? And did it fade after a bit? Only started the 10 last week after a month on 5.
