Cycle seat to high cannot lower any more, new seat pole?

I have just been given a cycle and my toes can only just touch the floor, I have lowered the pole the seat is on as far as it can go but its still to high. Can you buy shorter poles or would I just have to get a smaller bike?

If the seat post won't go any lower i.e. the saddle is hitting the top of the seat tube, the frame/bike is prob. too large for you.

Would love to ask Knubby, but will have to wait until he is on line.

If there's still some of the pole showing but it won't go down any more you can just take the pole out and cut off a inch or two. I've done this before on one of my old bikes.
Saves a couple of quid :)
