7 Answers
At present i drink about nearly 2 litres of water a day of which i know is the reccommended daily amount, but when i have just 1 cup or tea i spend the next hour tripping to the toilet, what should i do!!
1) don't drink tea because its a dieuretic/releasing agent.
2)drink less water and more tea.

How much do you enjoy your cup of tea? Is it worth "nipping to the toilet" every time? How many cups of tea do you drink a day?
Fluid requirements depend upon where you live, hot or cold climate. what job you do, sedentary or otherwise, but you 2litres a day seems about right.
I would either carry on as you are doing or drink less tea.
Your choice.

Rule of thumb, with rounded off values.
Remember that water intake of food is.......20%
water as fluid is...................80%
Daily needs depending upon the conditions in my first answer is.............Total fluid............3litres
Total water in food 20%.........600mls
Total water as fluid 80%........2,400 mls.
These figures are rounded off for simplicity.
