my husband has pain in his chest, shoulder ,neck and numbness down left arm. he has had numerous blood tests done and one of them is crp and they have found high protein in his blood, his own gp wont tell me any more as he is under a consultant he has got to have a mri and brain scan next week and then wait for the consultant to make a further appointment,does anyone know anything about protein in your blood thanks

thanks for your answers everyone, squad617 you said about heart disease he did have an ecg and said it was normal and went on treadmill which was normal,i was thinking it could be his heart as he smokes about 25 ciggarettes a day, and when he gets the pain really bad he gets clammy and vomits. his gp said that they were high level protein.his brother died 3 years ago of heart attack sudden he was 45 my husband is 54.he is having his scans on 19th may then i have to wait for consultant to make appointment, i am worried, would his gp tell me more if i went back to see him.
OK.....CPR is an indicator of probable FUTURE heart disease, even if the ECG and Stress ECG are normal.
As I have said the MRI of his brain is looking for a vascular problem to explain the numbness in his left arm.
Yes, if you returned to your GP he would answer questions, but of course without the MRI scan he would be at a loss.
