My daughter fell off her swing over a week ago and hurt her wrist. We took her to see an out of hours doctor who told us it seemed fine as it was not swollen and that he asked her if it hurt and she said no. She has only just turned five and was petrified of him as soon as we left the hospital she burst into to tears and said it was really painful. The advive he gave us was to see what it was like in a few days. We took her back and ended up seeing the same doc I asked for an X ray and he refused. It has been a week and two days and she still cries in pain if it gets bumped and she is struggling to grip properly. Although she is still able to use it when it hurts it starts to swell just above the side of the wrist joint. Not sure what to do next any advice?
Hi thanks for your messages decided to take her back to the doctors as the nearest A&E is over an hours drive from where I live and actually managed to see a different doc after much complaining. Thankfully he noticed it was fractured straight away and had it x rayed to double check and now it is in a cast thank god. So anyway thank you all for your comments I was just unsure as weather to take her back again as I did not want to be seen as a time waster.
