Hi, can anyone advise if it is okay to ask the doctor for a specific drug? I have been diagnosed with depression and the 2 drugs i have been prescribed so far do not seem to have worked, and now i'm worried that i'm not going to get better. In the past i took Amyltriptiline for interupted sleep due to pain, and i felt great while i was taking this, so would it be okay to ask the doctor to try this again or should i wait for the doctor to go through the trial and error process?
Thankyou for any advice.

There is absolutely no reason not to mention to the doctor your views and see what they think. It may be the right drug for you if it has worked in the past (it doesn`t suit everyone) ask them and see how it goes.

Good luck
