I never have been warned of that on my simvastatin but it does appear on the printed sheet with lisinopril so I already avoid the fruit/juice
Question Author
ive had it on a couple of labels that the chemist puts on the box but not always
I've actually Googled this "fruit juices acidity", (not clever enough to link it for you). It interacts with the drugs and can be harmful, My husband takes Warfarin, and is told not to drink Cranberry juice for some reason. When I used to take Vit D and calcium tablets I couldn't eat rhubarb.

ive been taking it for quite a while and noticed the caution straightaway, i also read up on it and apparently it increases the dosage by 40%, youd think that all labels would have it on wouldnt you
I understand that Grapefruit Juice (alone, and not any other citrus juice) prevents the kidneys from flushing out the remains of many medications, leading eventually to a dangerous build up of said medication in the kidneys.
I take Lipitor, and asked my GP about the warning on the medication leaflet, and it was he who told me the above.
