2 yr old with nits

Hi, my 2 year old granddaughter has nits and my daughter cant get rid of them, she has done 2 lots of treatments with hedrin with no luck, she is an asthmatic too so has to be careful with what she uses on her hair, can anyone please let me know how she can get rid of them, either by home remedies or prescription. Thank you

Some simple home based treatments that can be use to kill an infestation of lice and nits are:
Wash the hair with a cup of vinegar for a couple of days to kill off the lice and the nits.
Apply some onion juice, on the scalp and hair and keep it for a few hours. Wash the hair with warm water and use a fine-toothed comb to drag out the dead lice and nits from the hair. Repeat it for three days.
