Know loads of people at work who`ve been on it. They say well done if you`ve lost weight but don`t judge if you haven`t. You don`t have to stay for the talk afterwards to share opinions. If you can`t face the weight-ins you can do it online. Personally I found it more of a committment by going every week. You can buy a Monthly pass and save on meeting costs
I agree...I went to WeightWatchers about 3yrs ago, lost 3.1/2 stone at the time within a year. I'm one of those people that needs encouragement and the support of others, they had recipes, ideas on health, diet, exercise, I made friends with the same 'problem' as me (being overweight). I stopped going after a year and unfortunately put some of the weight back on. I kept the books etc but find the willpower aint there when I've got no-one keeping a 'check' on me, so to speak. Some people like me just need the support and encouragement, others can quite happily do it themselves. It's all down to personal choice but I think it was worth it.
I'm doing the slimming world, easy plan diet. I do not go to a class, just doing it myself and sticking to it rigidly. Weigh once a week and it definitely works.
My mother-in-law used to 'go to class' so she told us what we're allowed etc. We don't even need to ask cause it's so easy. It's easier for me to stick to a diet rather than doing my own cause I'm not disciplined enough.
