poodicat - I was advised to take 2 a day by my consultant. I have reduced it to one a day now.
If you look at the active ingredients in the capsules and work out how many of the shop bought tablets you have to buy to give you the same level of Omega 3 they won't seem quite so expensive - maybe!
It really depends if you need them - there is no point in paying silly money if you don't need the supplement.
I can't really remember the utillity stuff but I can remember my two elder sisters always moaning about their clothes and how they could only get the same sort of stuff all the other girls had and that they had to share dresses and things
I've heard all about chapped knees from lordalex......he used to have to walk to school (for miles and miles) along the sea front with the salt waves coming up and hitting his knees in his short trousers making them all chapped.
Well, I called his bluff and we went to see where he grew up...first of all it was a relatively short walk to school and secondly, he could just as easily have taken another route avoiding the sea front. Game , set and match, I feel!
I saw a load of young girls in Perth off to catch their bus to "T in the Park" - they were all wearing shorts and wellies. It has been pi55ing down all day but I bet they are having fun.
I started taking 1500mg Glucosamine a few months ago when my joints did some serious acting up.......it really seems to help...along with Omega 3. If I skip a few days, I notice a difference. Apparently it works better in cases of already present arthritis. I find Tiger balm and Emu oil are also helpful topically.
As for Vick....I love the stuff-still use it now. I must be strange...lol
Emu oil was recommended to me to relieve joint discomfort....and it does. I have since told others about it-all have had positive experiences. It has other uses both as a topical application and as a supplement.
I've been taking omega 3/6 fish oils and its definitely bringing my cholesterol down but couldn't tell you its really made me feel any different otherwise.....
