We're getting close to Christmas! Traditionally this is what you've been losing weight for (in anticipation) - is it going to be tiny portions on Christmas day, or are you thinking "Sod it, it's Christmas!" (Although I am thinking that already - all downhill from here!)

Hi Spare Ed. I'm going to eat whatever I like on Christmas Day, as it's only one day, and I can be good afterwards. I have a feeling I may have lost a little weight this week. How about you? Have you lost any weight since following this thread? Happy Christmas!
Thanks for thatSpare Ed and I am sure our regulars will agree and I hope it will bring us a few more now it appears on the latest posts.
Yes notafish I agree with you . I have still kept 2lbs under my 2 stone loss but I do want another stone off but that will start after xmas. I wish you A Merry xmas and a happy new year and also to you Spare Ed.
I also agree with you both. Christmas is not the time to be brave. We only have that kind of food once a year after all. I have cut down on the fat contents of my stuffing but on tasting it found out I could have done that years ago. Better late than never. It's -11 here and a real whopper of a snow storm scheduled for Thurs so am doing the Christmas grocery shopping today. Thankfully all the children are staying put in their respective cities so we don't have to worry about transport problems. Onwards and downwards.....

Traditionally the first thing to pass my lips on Christmas day will be a glass of Champagne - so "being good" would be completely incompatible with tradition.

I've been "trying" to shift about 4kg for months I think - but various injuries and recent flu (+ birthdays and other "occasions") I've managed to stay exactly the same!
Hi Xstitcher bitter cold here and -16 in some places especially.in Scotland. Never been as cold as this for years and not as long as I can remember. Lucky here where I am but have icy roads especilaay the side roads. We are all going out this year as a one off family xmas day dinner so praying it dont get worse but place is on main road so hoping. Wishing you all a merry xmas will be booking in tomorrow for weigh in.Have been good this last week but this week goes without saying.
Well done Spare Ed, for staying the same weight despite all the hiccups.
I have stayed the same weight for a while, but don't mind too much as long as I don't go up. Xstitcher and Wendilla, It's very cold in the South-East too, especially as I can't get two of my radiators working. The snow looks pretty and covered in fox paw prints in the garden but is all slushy and grey on the roads. Good luck for tomorrow everyone!
Good Morning All, Oh dear, not good news I'm afraid.....up 1 pound so starting now with breakfast drastic cuts. I've said before it's not what I eat, it's how much. Just to make sure I'm going to weigh myself again tomorrow and see what happens.
Complete traffic chaos expected starting later today because of the bad weather that will come to us this afternoon. This is going to spoil many Christmases I think with planned family events not being able to be realized. I expect the supermarkets will be crowded with people now having to buy Christmas food that they thought they would be having somewhere else.

I hope you will be able to report better results than I did. O&D !!!
Morning XSTITCHER never mind just make up your mind to get back to it after the new year. I have stayed the same so I am ok with that. Been snowing in the night here in Leics got a covering so hoping this is the last of it . I shopped on Monday so don't need to go out thank goodness. Have a nice xmas and a safe and happy new year and also an Onwards and Downwards one weight wise in the new year.
Hi Wendilla and Xstitcher, I have put on half a pound. I'll try a bit harder now (but not on Xmas day). Good luck with your weigh in TheOtherHalf.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!
I can recommend the Gin & Stress diet
Question Author
Mrs O, I believe I've been on that for a while!
The beauty of it is that if you get bored with gin, you can swap for bacardi or vodka
I've been trying to lose 3 stone in the last 6 months. The chocolates and biscuits don't help.
Not writing to gloat - but I am rather proud of my weightloss in last 18 months and have found gym classes I really enjoy doing so exercise if never a chore... Plus when I came off the pill I lost another 5 pounds.
Hubby reckons I look better than I ever have.. which is really nice to know.
Am finding clothes I stopped wearing as they were too tight and am feeling fitter too.
To all you dieters and exercisers out there! Dont give up.. the self confidence it brings and health too is really worth it!
having said that.. a treat at Xmas wont hurt if in moderation!!

Enjoy all!
Mrs O.. I think I may have tried that diet once before... well the stress part anyway.. it certainly helps speed up the old metabolism eh!!!!
Well once I've completely weaned little Tiggs I can start proper weight loss. I have to go into work to get measured for my uniform in Feb so I would at least like to get down to a size 12 before I do that.
Hi Tiggerblue welcome to our thread. Yes the biscuits choc and bread was my downfall but I have cut them down drastically. I have lost 2 stone and 3 lbs and I aim to lose another after xmas. It has taken me since end of June and I aim to keep it off just by being able to eat most things in moderation which I do now. Yes NOSHA 123 it is a great feeling to wear something nice and feel good in it and and not to have to wear certain styles just to hide the bulges. I am sure when Xstitcher and our regulars read this they will agree. Good luck and merry xmas and a happy and onward and downwards weight loss new year.
In my 20's I managed to shed 15 stone of unwanted blubber.

I divorced him
lol mrs -overall. Nice one bet that was a weight off your mind. I won't say what I was going to say lol.
