We're getting close to Christmas! Traditionally this is what you've been losing weight for (in anticipation) - is it going to be tiny portions on Christmas day, or are you thinking "Sod it, it's Christmas!" (Although I am thinking that already - all downhill from here!)

Thats true Boxtops I set myself small targets my next one after I rectify the 3 lbs xmas gain is a stone by end of Feb. When I started end of July I aimed for 2 stone before my birthday end of Oct. I did it all but 2lbs. But I lost in all 2 stone and 3lbs just before xmas.

Thanks for all the targets guys! Glad to see so many are progressing well.

Now, here's a question, when it comes to "treats" I wondered if you've used them to motivate yourself? How much (how treaty)? And how often do you have them?
In the beginning I didn't have any treats because I was so afraid of back sliding but now that I'm into this new life style eating I just use common sense.....a good lunch out for example is my treat for at least a week.
We leave tomorrow for the sunnier shores of the Costa again so I won't be on the weigh in until the Wed. after.

I agree with you xstitcher about the treats. This is where al ot of people go wrong they cut out everything then they get bored then they start back binging and back to square one. Lucky you going to warmer climate.Onwards and Downwards
Good Morning. Well I am completely stuck again I have stayed the same still got to lose that xmas 3 lbs . Just had a slight blip this week . But I can't go on staying the same so it's Onwards and Downwards for next week.
Week 1 - lost 4lbs.

He's 7 1/2 months now and I haven't been able to diet due to breastfeeding. I'm still doing that but I really need to lose the 3 stone I put during and after the pregnancy before I go for a uniform fitting and then back to work.
Oh and thanks for the encouragement x

When I started SW they advised us to have full 15 syns a day. Some days I could do it easily especially when having a drink at the w/e but during the week, I use treats if Im peckish for a sandwich etc or sometimes I`ll have 2 weetabice with milk and banana to fill the gap. I thought most of my treats would have been choc but it hasnt really bothered me going without except the other days choc cake which I couldnt resist, and yet I used have to have a choc fix every day. I`ll sometimes grab a few nuts, which is also one of my weaknesses, but I mark them down as syns so have to be careful how many I have.

Never mind wendilla, It`ll go. just keep at it. We`ll see what tonight brings for me. As long as I lose something, even half pound will do for now although I do want to get another stone of by end of Feb if I can

The wild birds have had a lovely treat today I have put out the rest of fruit cake I made now its gone I can't eat it .
Well done Tiggerblue. Again, I haven't lost anything. But I'm not downhearted, I feel determined to lose a pound or so by next Wednesday. :-)

Im a bit disappointed I didnt lose anything last night but at least I didnt gain anything either. Ive now got to really knuckle down towards this next stone loss now

Hi the Otherhalf and Notafish don't get disheartened by staying the same. thats 3 of us stayed the same . I had loads of weeks when I stayed the same even though I had been good . Back on track ladies Onwards and Downwards for next week

Hello All, After a computer hic cup I am happy to be back. I have also had the staying the same for quite a while so I am really hoping to go down next Wed. My halo is glowing after storing the left overs away for another meal. My shopping on arrival here is completely different and much easier than before when I was shopping for any and everything I might fancy. I am not fond of this part of the day because there is to be no more food eaten until tomorrow breakfast. Oh well.....onwards and downwards.....
Morning Ladies well at last I have shifted 2 of the 3 lbs I gained over Xmas.It was getting me down just a little in case I had stayed the same as it is now mid Jan and I have been back on track so I am walking a bit lighter again. Hope you all have had good results.
Hello all, I'm a wee bit up this week.......could be the scales being different because I have been behaving myself and feeling hungry all the time. When I get these hunger pangs nothing seems to help.......any ideas out there?

Hi Xstitcher only thing I can suggest is make sure you have a good breakfast. I can understand the hunger pangs. You just can't stop your self from going and eating something that you shouldnt. I just can't stop my hands sometimes but now because that 3lbs has been lyiing around I am going to aim now for the other stone by end of feb.I think I was a bit off because I never once gained during the 2 st I have lost since July and some weeks stayed the same but that did not put me off so think Onwards and Downwards.By the way last week I bought a few of these little snack packs of fruit and grapes that helped me.and I put some in a florida salad.
