The man is 68 stone - just started, filmed over a year. I'm making no judgements, just watching.

They can't Andyvon. They have to rely on others to clean under the folds of skin and privates.

I was watching Raiders too Cazzz.
A Chinook to transport him to hospital??
my ex neighbour was very large around 30+ stone, she used to complain to me about welts under her tummy folds, her husband used to have to clean her up because she couldnt see/reach them properly.
I haven't seen this particular programme but I've seen plenty of others, especially the American ones. These people certainly do well to find others prepared to attend to their personal cleaning. It always strikes me they have various mental health issues so perhaps that would be a way to address the problem rather than keep indulging the need to eat in such vast quantities.
The money comes from us, the taxpayer, for his house, carers, operations etc. Apparently he's had death threats because of this. I've missed it but i'll 'on demand' it later. I'm fascinated by things like this, fat, thin, short, tall. In olden days I would have had my own freak show!
Makes me remember an episode of the Simpsons where Bart becomes massively overweight and he said 'I wash myself with a rag on a stick'.
Wonder what happened to that Mexican guy who was the worlds fattest man a few years ago?
He's fading away to a mountain

The surgeon has just said that the cost of treating has to be weighed against the cost to the NHS of Not treating him. Makes sense to me.
My OH would never be like this, he can't keep still for 2 minutes!..........If he ever did, I would not cope!.........I would be gone!..........

All his others have stopped visiting, kosmos.
I could not watch this. It is really terrible for him to be like this. It is bad enough being two stone overweight, and trying to lose it but 68 stone!!
His carers are his only friends + the Salvation Army guy.
its amazing how he can lose weight in hospital, its annoying that his so called friends are bowing and overfeeding him
Surely once they are that large they have gone past the point of ever being able to make a full recovery. They must have done so much damage to their organs that I imagine they will ever slim back down to 12 stone and live a normal life again.
That should have said 'never' rather than 'ever'!
