in a pregnancy.? And can still go to full term? My daughter was admitted last night to hospital because she was having very heavy bleeding. She is seven weeks pregnant. The hospital kept her in and said she had lost the baby but was going to do a scan this morning. To make sure it has all come away. Which they did. And to the surprise of the doctor, and my daughter, there was a heart beat and a baby. My daughter has to go back next week to have another scan. If she doesnt start bleeding before then again. She has had three miscarriages in the past three years. One at 13 weeks, another at 10 weeks, the baby had died. And another at 12 weeks, the baby had died again, it had stopped growing around 6 weeks. Could this one survive? I know no one can say for sure but just wondered if it would be at all possible. My daughter has got children. Thankyou

None of us can say, but I do hope and pray that she will be successful this time, it must be soul destroying to lose a baby at any stage.
Take care.

Bless her. Could there have been twins to start? I'm not a doctor, but I have two friends who had heavy bleeding in early pregnancy, who both went on to have healthy babies. Best of luck to her x
This happened to my SIL - she had heavy bleeding at an early stage and was told she'd miscarried, but a few days later, the baby was still there, and she went to term and delivered a lovely boy. I do feel for your daughter, but it is certainly possible that the baby is hanging on in there. Thinking of you ♥
Difficult to say, but it is not a good sign at this stage of her pregnancy.
oh the poor girl. such a bad obstetric history................keep us posted.
Oh poor girl. I wish all the best for her. It must be so very worrying for her after the other miscarriages.

Many thanks to all of you. She is ok at the moment so one day at a time. Although I am trying sooooo hard not to worry about it. But cannot help it. My daughter is very strong willed and is saying she is going to lose it.......but not fooling her mum .. I know deep down she doesnt really want to believe that. Just preparing herself for another loss. I suspect. x
lila , is she at home. anymore bleeding ?
My sister lost a twin at about 8 weeks pregnant. She went on to have a healthy baby....

I has severe bleeding at 29 weeks. Unbelievable amount of blood...medical mystery, baby was fine, placenta intact. All they could say was it was coming from the womb but didn't have a clue other than that.
