personally i dont think the electric ones are very accurate compared to taking it manually. However, they are good for detecting a trend

I have recently had a few problems Sherr so I am going to monitor my readings for a week and then go back to my GP, I was actually advised to get one

arm ones are better than cuff ones

Dont panic if you get a high reading, only if it's high all the time.
lots of things can make it high coffee, ciggs a meal. so dont worry ha ha because I used to lol

Arm ones are banned at my surgery,something to do with the mercury I think, hiya Bobbi,hope you are ok.

been to see my GP bloom, having a few probs with the ticker which I haven't had ever ;-)

bloom as far as I know you can only get upper arm or cuff types.

bobbi if you doc is worried he will sent you for a 24/48 hours one fitted. It gives them a better idea.

Had one for years due to Hubbies problems, always been accurate. Bought it on advice of Doctor so he doesn't have to go in so often for checks.

Bloood pressure probs or something else bobbi? Arwyn I was on about the old style BP machine that goes around the top of your arm,our pracise nurse says they not allowed to use them anymore.

that's probs the next step although without going into it on here, my heart seems ok by the ECG reading, it's other factors causing it I believe and so does the GP

bobbi its good to have one so you can tell G.P. My E.C.G's were fine aswell, them fitting a monitor takes a reading every 1/2 hour even in you'r sleep. So they really do get an idea.

I got one from Lloyds and was advised by the practice nurse to take it into the surgery and have it calibrated against the ones used in house so that we were all on the same page.
I really just keep taking the tablets though. :)
