I have only been wearing my sandals for two weeks and already my heels are cracked n sore, I have used a ped egg but that just makes them even more sore! Do these creams work? I have seen several on the market, any recomendations?
TIA
Ann, I have suffered all my life - before flip flops and crocs were ever heard of. Walking bare feet and sandals is really the cause. I rarely wore shoes in my younger days. Some people are more prone to it - I was told the reason, but I have forgotten it. I think it is linked to psoriasis in some way (which I don't have)
On 'Snog, Marry, Avoid' they said that soaking your feet in oats & water makes them really soft due to the natural oils released by the oats. Just don't make the water too hot or it may turn into porridge.
Oats and water work a treat I agree. Put a good tablespoon into and old sock, tie it up and use it to wash with in the shower.
More expensive but again very affective solution is the fish pedicure! Have your heels nibbled once a fortnight and they'll be soft as a baby's bum. (Yes OK for men too, OH and I went together a couple of weeks ago, but it was quite early in the morning!)
