boots own brand heel softening cream really works. you have to use it every day, just a little bit, and you'll notice the difference in about 5 days. i use it morning and evening and it really does work. i think most of them on the market work, trouble is people don't use them regularly. boots is the cheapest.
Yes they do work. I use Flexitol for mine.
Yes, they do - look for 5 or 10% urea in the ingredients eg Flexitol or Scholl.
Urea-Thats in wee isn't it?
Yep, Flexitol works.

Keep using it, even when you don't need it.

That will stop it happening again.
Agree with JJ and gingejbee, my chiropodist said get the cream with the highest percentage of urea in. I get very dry skin/cracked heels. Always bare foot....occupational hazard!
Petroleum jelly. At night with sock sto protect sheets. First thing in the morning and put a tissue inside shoe or slipper for 20 mins or so.
A decent foot cream (like Body Shop Peppermint Foot Lotion) used at night with cotton socks works a treat - and cheap too - but you need to so it often.
Flexitol is excellent - I have trouble with my heels (possibly because I hardly ever wear anything on my feet in the summer) and the pedegg gets rid of the cracky bits for me.
So ... you go to bed with socks full of Vaseline ????
....cheap and not-so-cheerful springs to mind!
Had to check this was not posted by a female!

Wouldn't be seen dead in sandals/flip flops

By far t he best product I have found over the years and I used to have very cracked heels, is CCS Foot balm and cream. Its a Swedish product and the balm has a high content of urea. Start with the balm and then when under control, keep it under control with the cream. It is so much beter than Flexitol, Scholl or Boots own cream.
Boots sell it.
Compeed cracked heel cream is great ...but you have to use it religiously & continue to use it a preventative once your heels are better.

I have just been out this morning and bought some scholl stuff, so will give that a go, it says to use for at least five days before you see any results!
I agree Robinia, CCS is also preventative. I use it at night all year round.
