Yes - it is not pleasant and not like just feeling hot. Difficult to describe really, just starts and goes all through your body, makes you feel like rubbish. I still get them and I am 84!! Sometimes I am dripping wet and I keep a towel near at hand for emergencies. Mostly during the night.
Starbuckone - you have really cheered me up, 84 ! I am 55 and have been having them since my hysterectomy 13 years ago.........(:o(

puzzled - funny wobbly feeling in tummy just before onset and whole body feels like its exploding....

Yes, can't describe it, but its the feeling in the stomach that is the difference between a flush and just feeling hot.
Thanks for that input starbuckone.
I asked the doctor what it was because I thought I was rather old - me: If I wasn't so old I would think it was hot flushes. doc: yes it is, some people get them into old age.
puzzled - my good friend Mazie on here, said to try chewing 2 sage leaves per day - I only got as far as three chews of one leaf and thought I was being poisoned - but you may fair better than me with it.

It's not just me then.
Thank den53
You Wimp DEN (xxx) I dont have any hot flsuhes these days. Mine only lasted about 18 months....I think it was the Sage leaves ;o)
I have also heard that, Starbuckone - I have tried everything from Soya Milk (which I still have) to rubbing some miracle cream into my belly to Red Clover Tablets - various herbal tablets - but to be honest nothing worked.
Watcha Mazie - hahaha I did give it good go, I promise, but however hard I tried, I just couldn't convince my brain I was eating a bar of Galaxy. (:o)
lol,. no that's a hard task indeed. I'm lucky I quite like raw herbs
Yes, I drink Soya Milk - it is actually better for you than ordinary milk, which I don't like anyway and I have tried sage - didn't work. At the moment I am taking soya isoflavones with red clover and khudzu root tablets one a day, but I don't think it is making any difference. I think it is one of those things you have to put up with. Unfortunately!

Would sage tea be worth a try?
No it isn't just you puzzled. In fact I expect you have opened the floodgates here.
Personally, I would try (almost) anything if I thought it would work.
did you take the sage raw starbuckone?
No mazie I took sage tablets. My friend who is also frantic to get rid of them is taking sage oil at the moment but I shall have to ask her how she is getting on with it.
Me also, Starbuckone - I would try anything and have - the mircle cream, was Wild Yam, it said rub on tummy area twice a day - did zilch for me, but Mr. Den's dry sore elbows cleared up a treat ! (:o)
Feel really sorry for all you ladies with these problems ! Hope you all have understanding Husbands/Partners who can cope and understand the problem.
Hello Redman, my love - Mr. Den is sympathetic, he usually throws a wet flannel at me and says 'you look like a beetroot' - hee hee
Hi DEN !
Do you chuck it back at him and tell him to make his own Dinner !! lol
